General Questions

What types of Smartphones do you repair?

We provide repair services for all Apple smartphones available on the market including from iPhone 5 all the way to iPhone 11s Max.

I tried repairing my smartphone myself, can I still mail it in for repair or diagnostic?

Yes, our shop will accepts devices that have been previously worked on, we charge a modest bench fee of $20 for diagnostic on devices without prior logic board rework and $50 with prior logic board rework. There is no bench fee for successful repairs.

I have multiple issues with my smartphone, can I get a deal on multiple repairs?

Yes you can, don’t hesitate to contact us, submit your repair and describe your problems, we will see what we can do for you.

Mail in Repair Questions

Can I mail in any device for repair?

Before sending any device check to make sure its listed on our repair page. If you have any questions or about a device listed on our site please contact us and our technicians will assist you.

What should I include when I am shipping my device to you?

We have everything needed to diagnose your device, do not include the accessories that came in the original packaging. Our mail-in form will contain information about anything we need.

Do I have to include my passcode with my phone?

Yes, its recommended. In order for us to guarantee our work we will need the passcode to test your device after the repair. Without the passcode we cant do more in depth testing, certain phone functions won’t be tested such as Wi-Fi, Baseband, Camera, Bluetooth and more.

Do you need my SIM card?

Sending your sim is not necessary, our shop has sim cards available to test your device’s baseband connectivity.

Liquid Damage for Data Recovery

What should I do if my device falls in water or another liquid?

Don’t turn on or plug-in your device. By following this simple step we will have higher chance of recovering your data. Because time is most important factor, send it to us by rush mail but of course if you can’t get it to us quickly then try drying it out first. Liquid damage devices are for data recovery only.

My device was liquid damaged and now all except one function works, can i still send it?

Water damage will inevitably cause failures in other areas in the future, it will decreases the life of the device. For this reason, we only do data recovery for devices that have been liquid damage damaged.

How long does data recovery on liquid damage devices take to complete?

Data recovery generally takes 9 hour to complete depending extent of damage to the logic board and other components and availability of those replacement components.

Screen & Display Replacement Service

After dropping my iPhone, everything except touch is working, which service is needed?

The most common cause of loss to touch functionality after a drop is a damaged digitizer, for this type of repair you will need to choose Screen replacement. Our Screen replacement will install a new touch digitizer which is responsible for touch functionality.  Another reasons for loss of touch after a drop can be logic board damage, select your device model to see our logic board repair pricing.

What are the signs i need a Display replacement?

If the device is suffering from screen bleeding or has areas with dead pixels then you are going to need our Screen & Display replacement option. Send a picture of the screen with the device turned on, to office @ maxrepairplus.com and our skilled techs would be happy to help you diagnose it.

The screen on my iPhone is cracked and chipping away, will i need an entire screen?

Yes, when there is damage to an iPhone screen, you will need to choose the Screen & Display replacement option.
